The Provincial Park of the "Bois des Rêves" or the Provincial Estate of Hélécine offer nature activities and outdoor events of all kinds.

  • Local and Tasty

Food-lovers and gourmets can try our local specialities – producers from Walloon Brabant invite you to taste their wine, honey, tarts and other treats directly where they are made. Learn more about them by clicking on gastronomy and choose the closest one that is organizing a tasting day!

Walloon Brabant boasts lots of local breweries and beers. The Brewery Jandrain-Jandenouille, for example, will give you an introduction to the art of beer making… Why not have a taste afterwards? Book in advance… Mont Saint-Jean Farm, which served as a hospital for the English during the Battle of Waterloo, has been converted into – among other things – a micro-brewery. Come and find out the secrets behind the production of the Bière des Braves, the Waterloo.

  • Military tourism

Do you have a group of history buffs interested in historical battles? Come and relive the Battle of Waterloo as if you were there, thanks to a host of sites and attractions.

The Memorial 1815 combines the Memorial, the Lion’s Mound with its unique view over the battlefield, the Panorama and Hougoumont Farm, the last remaining genuine witness to the battle. Just a few kilometres away, you can visit the headquarters of Wellington and Napoleon.
For all these visits, don’t forget the Pass 1815! This Pass allows you into all the sites on the Waterloo Battlefield at a very attractive price, as well as the museums mentioned above.

Different battles, different times, our heroes from the First and Second World Wars are not forgotten, thanks among others to the Musée du Souvenir 40-45 in Perwez.
